A chimney can assist to purify the air in your kitchen by removing hot gases and hazardous particles. When cooking, it can also help to minimise carbon monoxide levels in the kitchen. Bacteria and other diseases are less likely to thrive in your kitchen since the air is kept cool and clean. If you have a chimney installed, the smoke and fumes produced by cooking will not stain the tiles or walls of your kitchen. Oil particles are emitted when food is prepared, making the kitchen sticky; however, if you have a chimney, this will not happen.
