Hoist unit shall be designed in modular construction which simplifies repairs and maintenance. The hoist unit consists of Non-flame proof electrical like motors, electromagnetic brake, control panel, limit switches, push button station, cable glands. The hoist geared train is with precision hob cut helical gears having hardness of 250 to 300 BHN, running on anti-friction type ball bearing lubricated with oil bath lubrication. Electromagnetic shoe type brake shall be provided on hoisting motion to ensure perfect in case of power failure i.e. fail to safe type. Gravity limit switch will be provided for over hoisting and over lowering.
