Drum is driven by heavy duty offset chain of 3.075 pitch supported by four machined trunnion rollers. Adjustable trunnion plates along with heavy duty thrust idlers keep the drum steel tires centred on the trunnions in proper position. Drums are equipped with very high efficiency flight system to ensure proper mixing and end product consistency. Cold Aggregate Feeder Wilson Asphalt Drum Mix Plant features four bin aggregate feeders mounted on a single frame. The hopper design has been accurately calculated to allow constant discharge of aggregate without bridge forming and plugging. The bin meant for macros (small size aggregate) is fitted with a vibrator to ensure continuous discharge of the aggregate. Adjustable opening gates, with variable speed auxiliary conveyors, are fitted on each bin permitting it to increase or decrease the output thereby meeting the requirements of any recipe. Provision to vary total capacity of plant output without disturbing the setting of recipes by means of master control. Slinger Conveyor and Burner System Aggregate from all the bins are discharged on to the gathering belt beneath on the same chassis to be fed into the single deck vibrating screen for the removal of the over size aggregate. Slinger Conveyor: A separate removable high speed slinger is provided to transfer the aggregates received from the vibratory screen to feed it into the thermo drum's combustion region. Appropriate continuous electronic weighing system with load cell is mounted for weighing the aggregates fed into the thermo drum, and to synchronise the total plant operations. Burner System: The Wilson plant includes a state-of-the-art fuel efficient fully automatic burner with flame safeguard, aggregate and exhausts gas temperature indicators with over temperature safety set points, temperature ignition assemble oil pressure gauge, dual oil shut off valves and diesel fuel pumps. Mineral Filter Unit and Asphalt Tank Mineral Filter Unit The mineral filter system is provided to add lime/minerals from a separate hopper in the mix to the extent pre-selectable from 1%-10% by weight of the aggregate. The unit is fabricated from 5mm thick steel plates and mounted on a strong steel structure. The piping is provided up to the mixing region in the dryer drum. The unit has a variable speed motor coupled with gearbox to rotary valve and also synchronized with aggregate and bitumen. The feeding of filler (line/cement) is by means of air compressor. Asphalt Tank These are available for the Wilson Series Plant System in two sizes - 15,000 litres and 20,000 litres which are heated with diesel burners. Standard features include lines, access manhole with ladder and insulation with ceramic glass wool and cover with CRC outer skin. Liquid Asphalt Pump The Wilson Series standard liquid asphalt pump/metering system consists of: A variable speed, reversible, jacketed, positive displacement asphalt pump, driven by a variable speed motor controller. Shaft mounted indicating tachometer. Equipped with a control panel mounted rate of flow indicator. The required flow of liquid asphalt can be directed either to the asphalt tank for re-circulation or to the drum mix dryer via a 3-way asphalt divert valve. Control Panel The housing of the panel is fabricated from 16 SWG CRC sheet and powder coated. The panel has features like Feed Master Control, Aggregate Flow measurement system which are synchronized to deliver asphalt and mineral as per the job mix formula. Individual Bin, Asphalt Flow Indicator. Automatic Synchronisation of asphalt with aggregate. Option to attach printer for printing of all parameters for an instant verification of formula. Automatic temperature controls with indicators. Metering system for aggregate, asphalt, mineral. Moisture correction provision.
