It is featured by high purity, good self-sharpening, low grinding heat output, acid-alkali and corrosion resistance, good stability at high temperature, and low porosity, etc. As the main raw material for producing middle/high-class monolithic refractories or formed refractory products, white fused corundum is used primarily for ladle castable, iron runner castable gunning refractory or other monolithic refractory products. As for formed refractories, ita s chiefly used in producing corundum bricks, corundum-mullite saggers, refining-used corundum porous plug bricks, integral blowing lance, three-piece for steel making con-casting production, ultra-high temperature industrial furnace lining, and other corundum products.
