1. Higher strength combined with better elongation values as compared to CTD Bars. 2. Excellent weldability because we restrict the carbon in our billets to 0.25%. 3. Resistant to fire hazards as there is no loss of strength upto 500 C. 4. Excellent ductibility and higher fatigue strength which makes it suitable for structures and foundations subject to dynamic and seismic loading. 5. Better bonding and bend ability makes it easily workable at site. Presently the company is involve in making Fe-500 Grade, but in future it is planning to go for another grade i.e., Fe-500E specially suitable for earthquake prone areas. In this grade (i.e., Fe-500E) the hardness of bar is increased, but at the same time, the ductibility is maintained (elongation will be minimum 25% guaranteed).
