Nicrobraz Cements 320 and 520 are liquid plastics which are supplied in two different viscosities, ranging from thin (Cement 520) to fairly thick (Cement 320). Nicrobraz Cements provide a means of applying powdered brazing filler metals in an easy-to-use liquid/powder mixture, with the Cements acting as both the vehicle and binder. They can be mixed with any powdered brazing filler metal to permit application with a spray gun, brush, eyedropper, or syringe. They cause the filler metal to compact, which holds it in place even after the Cements completely volatilize at approximately 1000(540a ). Nicrobraz Cements do not adversely affect high-purity dry atmospheres or vacuum, even though some outgassing occurs. The amount of outgassing will increase with increases in the amount of cement used, number of parts in the furnace, and viscosity of the cement employed. Outgassing can be reduced by air-baking prior to furnace processing. However, this is seldom necessary. NOTE: Nicrobraz Cements 320 and 520 use a nonflammable, non-ozone-depleting(non-ODS) binder, designed with todaya s environmental concerns in mind.
