Product Description

This silicon metal can be used as an alloying agent. It is a chemical element that is solid and metallic, and a member of the chemical group called metalloids. Pure silicon is grayish-white or grayish-black, with hardness ranging from 5.0 to 7 on the Mohs scale. It is too soft to be forged or rolled into sheets, but it is nevertheless quite strong yet brittle and is hard to cut with a knife. Thin sheets of silicon are so slippery that they require considerable force just to make them stick together at all. The purity is 99%, the hardness of the solid, high strength, silver color, and moisture content of 20%.
