Product Overview
Our offered Natural Rubber is a mixture of organic polyisoprene derived from a milky colloid produced by Hevea trees. Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, representing about 70 percent of global NR supply are the largest producers of natural rubber. Other important producing nations include China and India. Unique physical and chemical properties of Natural rubber have made it a popular option for making elastomeric parts. The other advantages of Natural Rubber are tear resistant, abrasion resistant, waterproofing, and less heat generation. Different grades of Natural Rubbers: Crepes : Pale crepe rubber is among the highest quality crepes. Coagulation of this high-quality natural rubber is achieved with sodium hydrogen sulfite (NaHSO3). The sheets are packed as bales and marketed as "thin pale crepe". Sheets : Two different types of sheets are distinguished: 1. ADS (air dried sheets) Air dried sheets are less common. They have an appearance similar to RSS (ribbed smoked sheets), but are more transparent, as they are manufactured in smoke-free rooms. 2. RSS (ribbed smoked sheets) Since these rubber sheets are not washed as intensively as crepes; they contain a higher proportion of serum constituents which encourage mold and rotting. For this reason, the sheets undergo an additional preservation process in which they are smoked in smokehouses. The sheets are hung in the smokehouses and dried for a week at temperatures up to 60A C.
