Product Description

PCs are polymers with carbonate groups in their chemical structures that are thermoplastic. Polycarbonates are strong, durable engineering materials that are optically transparent in some grades. They're easy to mould, thermoform, and work with. The main difference between polycarbonate and plastic is that polycarbonates are lighter than plastic but significantly more durable. Another significant difference between polycarbonate and plastic is that the former may be manufactured thinner. Polycarbonate's tensile strength is usually between 55 and 75 MPa (force per unit area). In terms of tensile strength, another plastic option, acrylic, is roughly 4-8 times stronger than glass, whereas polycarbonate is up to 200 times stronger.
