PTFE paste are processed by mixing them with a hydrocarbon liquid to facilitate extrusion as a paste. After extrusion, the liquid is removed from the extrude with heat. The resulting low-density product can then be used or heated further to obtain a solid resin structure. The properties of the solid resin are similar to those of PTFEAR PTFE granular molding powders.
