Sodium methyl paraben I.P which we offer our valuable customers is a compound with formula Na(CH3(C6H4COO)O). It is the sodium salt of methylparaben. It is also known as Sodium methyl para-hydroxybenzoate. Commercially it is synthetically made from toluene, which is then esterified. Applications: Sodium methylparaben widely used as preservatives that inhibit the growth of yeast, fungi, and bacteria. Sodium methylparaben is not pH sensitive. Sodium methylparaben is used in a large range of acidic products soft drinks, cordials, sports drinks, salad dressings, condiments, fish (smoked, dried, fermented), fruit juice concentrates, vinegar, and sauces.
