Our product contains 5% hydrochloric acid. If the product has been properly prepared according to the instructions included with the container, it is safe to handle. When not in use, the container must be well closed and kept out of direct sunlight and heat. Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is commonly used in the food, textile, metal, and rubber industries to neutralize alkaline substances and as a bleaching agent. It is neutralized when discharged into the soil, and it rapidly hydrolyzes when exposed to water. Items transported through the soil may contaminate groundwater and degrade some soil components.
