Cupric sulphate is a salt formed by the reaction of cupric oxide and sulfuric acid. This forms large, bright, solid blue crystals on hydration containing five molecules of water and is also known as blue vitriol. The antimicrobial properties are used primarily for agricultural purposes, as a pesticide, germicide, feed additive, and soil additive. The crystalline copper sulphate does not burn as it is non-combustible in nature. It should be stored in a cool, dry place.
