We supply Sulfuric acid (H2SO4), often known as oil of vitriol or hydrogen sulfate, is a dense, colourless, oily, caustic liquid that is one of the most commercially important of all chemicals. Sulfuric acid is produced industrially through the reaction of water with sulphur trioxide (see sulphur oxide), which is produced through the chemical combination of sulfur dioxide and oxygen via the contact or chamber process. Sulfuric acid is also commonly used in drain cleaning products. Many commercial drain cleaners and openers are quite corrosive. If spilled, they can cause severe burns to the skin. Some of these drain openers are in the form of a powder that must be activated with cold water. Sulfuric acid is widely found in household cleaning goods, such as aluminium cleaning products, but it is not confined to that purpose. The corrosive qualities of sulfuric acid explain why it is so often used in household items. This makes it an excellent material for toilet bowl cleaners and drain cleaners/openers.
