These Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC/MHPC) is a kind of nonionic cellulose ether which uses the Natural polymer materials cellulose as its raw material and is made through a series of chemical processing. It is widely used in construction materials, coatings, synthetic resins, ceramics, medicals, foodstuffs, textiles, agriculture, cosmetics etc. HPMC is white or similar to white fiber or granular powder; odorless and non-toxic. It can be soluble in cold water and forms a kind of transparent viscous solution which owns many properties like thickening, adhesive, dispersing, emulsifying, film-forming, suspending, absorbing, gelatinizing, surface activity, moisture-keeping, colloid-protecting, etc, 2.
