Our offered Phytosterols, or plant sterols, are derived from edible vegetable oils. They are widely used in food, dietary supplement and pharmaceutical applications. Phytosterols, when taken as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may help reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol levels. Health claims relating to the cardiovascular benefits of sterols in certain food products are permitted in many countries. Phytosterols are a bright white, granular product with very little ordor or flavor. Storage practices for phytosterols should include avoiding elevated storage temperatures and weight bearing conditions which might lead to campaction of the product. Phytosterols are produced under certified ISO9001 and 14001 programs, and are certified Kosher and Halal. Non-GM products are available on request.
