Biophenol-40 is a 40% active, easily polymerisable high molecular weight organic acid in solution form based on high purity naturally occuring lignin which is polyphenolic in nature. It is eminently suitable as an extender cum processing aid in the manufacturing of PF resins with substantial reduction in costs. The concerned product when used to the extent of minimum 25% by weight results in an increase of acidity and condensation of lignosulphonic acid with subsequent formation of high molecular weight products insoluble in water. Its typical properties are : Appearance : Thick Brown Liquid. Specific Gravity : 1.2 approx. Viscosity : 25 Sec approx. (Cup B4). Diluent : Water. Ph - 9-10.
