This 60% pure and bitter taste is an industrial grade, water-soluble liquid nitric acid with a -42 average degree celsius melting point. Despite its 83-degree celsius boiling and freezing point, liquid nitric acid can be easily separated from other liquids and gases with the help of distillation techniques such as vacuum distillation, steam distillation, and dry distillation. It is non-corrosive and does not cause damage to glass or stainless steel, although care should be taken in regards to long-term storage. This 1.51 density industrial-grade product is perfect for use in complex processes like float glass manufacture. It reacts with carbon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, mercuric chloride, and silver chloride to produce nitrogen dioxide.
