The Life Saving Jacket (Waist Coat) is worn by aircrew while flying over sea for survival. The life saving jacket has been designed / manufactured as per the Directorate of Technical and Development Production (Air) Aero Med Specification No.35. The jacket consists of waistcoat, inflatable stole with cylinder complete with operating head and aids to recognition. The waistcoats are made from cotton gabardine fabric and have three buttons with front closer. There is also an adjustable belt for additional flexibility. The inflatable stole is constructed from two-ply butyl proof nylon fabric.
