Product Overview
EGCG green tea extract is known to significantly lower risks of many diseases including Cancer, Heart disease and Stroke since it contains high levels of catechins and polyphenols which are powerful natural antioxidants that provide health benefits beyond merely neutralizing free radicals. Much of the cancer-preventative effects of green tea are due to epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG, a major constituent of green tea (240 ml of brewed green tea consists of 200 ml of EGCG). Laboratory studies show that green tea extract protects against and may be an effective treatment for many common degenerative diseases and it is being tested as cancer therapy, especially lung cancer. The green tea polyphenols consist of EGCG, epicatechin gallate, epicatechin, epigallocatechin and other polyphenols. Green tea extracts are used in many consumer products including food items (lollipops, drinks and ice creams), cosmetics, creams and shampoos.
