Family Cobb-430 Yellow Hens. Yellow Hens are not white Leghorns, rather the yellow variant of leghorn for those interested in breeding with a more yellow plumage. These birds lay a large, white egg and have been bred for both egg production and show quality for over 60 years starting with the original foundation stock from Meyer Hatchery. The Cobb 430 Baby Chick Feeder is designed for broilers and breeder turkeys. This feeder can be adapted to include a small waterer. To do so, simply add the waterer kit. The Cobb Chicken is an assured way to increase egg production. They are active, medium sized, very robust birds, with a typical V-shaped body. They have a great personality and are readily tamed, including when raised free-range. In fact they are such good layers that they will lay 52 weeks in the year when put under artificial lighting. The eggs are of excellent quality and size, with a shell colour of brown.
