The only Black Meat Chicken (B.M.C.) breed in India is the Kadaknath. It is a Madhya Pradesh native that is mostly raised by the Bhil and Bhilala tribal groups. Jet-black, pencilled, and golden kadaknath are the most prevalent colours. When compared to broiler chicken, this breed has a low rate of disease. These, unlike broiler chicken, can survive on kitchen scraps. The adiwasis love the bird because of its adaptability to the local environment, illness resistance, and delicious meat quality, texture, and flavour. Despite the fact that the flesh of this breed is black, it is considered not only a delicacy with a particular flavour, but also therapeutic.
