It is a fresh brinjal. It fills a small pot with potting soil. Plant the seed 1 inch below the soil surface. 2. Place the pot in an east, west or south window that can receive light for the time being facing the direction of the sun. Place the plant under 12 inches of light, if there is no access to a window, for 16 hours a day. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy. 3. Feed the plants with fertilizer that contains nitrogen, potash, "chelated" iron and phosphoric acid. Water before fertilizing and apply only half the recommended fertilizer for plants. Feed often as specified on fertilizer packaging. Transfer the plants to the container when the seeds have sprouted and grown to about 6 inches of this purple brinjal, and have a second and third set of leaves.
