The fruits have a small point at one end, known as the beak. The seed within the fruit is large and flattened. Mango is grown in India in tropical and subtropical regions from sea to an altitude of 1500 meters. It is grown almost in all states of India. However, it is mainly cultivated in, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
