Ferrous Sulfate

Product Overview

Our offered Ferrous Sulfate is the chemical compound with the formula FeSO4. It is used medically to treat iron deficiency, and also for industrial applications. Known since ancient times as copperas and as green vitriol, the blue-green heptahydrate is the most common form of this material. All iron sulfates dissolve in water to give the same aquo complex [Fe(H2O)6]2+, which has octahedral molecular geometry and is paramagnetic. Features:- 1.Easily soluble in water, dissoluble in ethanol; 2.Has reduction 3.Decompose and release poisonous gas when contacting high temperature 4.Weathered when exposed in dry air 5.Easily oxidized into brownish yellow basic ferric sulfate which difficultly soluble in water 6.Anhydrous ferrous sulfate is white powder and the one with crystal water is light green crystal, called green vitriol Application: It is commercially generated as a by-product during the manufacture of Titanium Dioxide, or as a by-product of the pickling of steel. 1. Mainly used to make pigment such as Ferric Oxide series products (such as iron oxide red, Iron oxide black, Iron oxide yellow etc. ). 2. It can also be directly used as flocculant in waste water treatment; 3. For producing ferric sulfate; 4. For iron containing catalyst;
