These are generally used as solar hot water panel that helps to generate solar hot water. The solar energy heats up water in the pipes that leads it to circulate through the system by natural convection (thermosyphon). The water is usually passed to a storage tank located above the collector and used for water heating. Therefore, these are installed on the flat roofs. This passive solar water heating system finds application generally used in hotels and household purposes.
