Traditionally Jamawars were made in Kashmir known as "KANI SHAWLS" which were woven with small special twigs in attractive colours. New trend has given rise to designs like kani shawls being woven on specially designed machines in very attractive designs and colours. Basic material used is 100 % pure marino wool or even Acraylic combinations. Machine made Jamawars are both good looking/ attractive and have very reasonable price tag. Normally woven in sizes of 40" x 80", 28" x 80" and 24" x 80". This range of shawls in fast being accepted in world market as a good bargain.
