The applications are: * As an Insecticide: Copper naphthenate is used extensively in textile rot proofing and to prevent dry rot and mildew in timber. As a strong insecticide it provides a permanent protection against ambrosia, beetle, termites and all other noxious insects attacking timber. * Textile: Copper napthenate may be applied to textile fabric either by dipping or spraying and the most complete and durable protection is obtained when the fabric after drying retains about 1% copper determined as metal, the copper napthenate solution for this purpose should normally contain from 2-2.5% copper as metal.
